Can a propane burning BBQ use LPG instead?

I am an American retiree residing in the Philippines. I would like to import a Brinkman "All in one" BBQ from the USA. In America it is set up to use Propane gas, but in the Philippines propane is not available, the standard is Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). Can the imported unit use LPG instead of propane without alteration? If not what needs to be altered?
