Get some test strips.�� They are a lot easier to test water.�� All you do is pull out a paper strip and hold it in the water.�� Pull it out and read the colors on the strip.�� It sounds like you just don't have enough chlorine in your water.�� Shock it some more.�� The only time my water is starting to turn green is when my chlorine level is low, so that is what I go by.�� A lot of rain will dilute the chlorine level in your water, so you have to use more shock than is usually required to get the water right.�� Good luck.
