We have lost almost 1000 employees where I am employed. Laid off, not fired. Is it not reasonable to ume that the public sector would end up having to do the same? I would have been willing to take a pay cut to save a job, but from what I understand, it is illegal to cut someones pay, because of some labor law that the unions have come up with. So yeah, no sympathy here.
