Obama's plans don't address the immediate needs of today. Like Mitt Romney said, spend money to stimulate the economy, not the government. At this rate, another year of lost jobs will wipe out people's savings and dissolve the middle cl. This is a crucial time to give incentives to businesses to create jobs or the middle cl will deteriorate!
