I feel like Fox News is brainwashing my father is this normal?

He pretty much eats up anything that news station feeds him. He doesn't form his own opinions but instead just believes everything they tell him. I've also noticed he is more racist than he was when I was younger and is more of a religious bigot, he even told my mom's friends to their face that they're sick people and are going to hell.
