Some Christians think sin is the cause of disease and imperfection, but doesn't this Bible quote refute that?

Most not all diseases are self inflicted when a Mother does Meth or other drugs while pregnant the baby will come out with some birth defects.If not because of our own infliction then maybe for some reason that we may not know at the time God has a purpose for us....to help others when we may not have if born without the defect.(humility)
