What are some good songs related to this particular type of heartbreak?

All of the "heartbreak" songs I seem to find are of people regretting that they didn't do more to make that person stay. I need a song that relates to someone who did everything and despite their efforts were abandoned by their one true love and forced to move on. They don't want to get back with that person or ever try to give them another chance because they were too heartbroken and had given them too many chances. Now the one who broke their heart is dying inside because they want them back. They don't feel like that person should ever have another chance because that heartache changed that person and their whole beings as a couple entirely. Too much to remember and too much to forget. Now that person who has suffered has found someone who will take care of them and love them unconditionally but is not sure if the depth of this new love will ever compare with what was before.
